Overview Site AccountantA well-established mining company based in Limpopo is looking for a Site Accountant to join their team of professionals.In this role, you would be providing support to the CPA with financial reporting and compliance.The Site Accountant will have excellent knowledge of processes and IFRS. They will have great attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to prioritise and organise.The successful candidate will also be deadline driven.Key requirements: Assist the site and internal staff i.r.o all financial requirements and requests.Provisional /recurring and adjustment of journals.Prepare provisions and accruals for the site.Maintain and control the critical stock levels.Reliable and accurate inventory reconciliation.Receive and issue consumable stock on Accpac.Verification of fixed assets.Analysing the income statements and other financial reports.Cost control and implement cost reduction measures.Handling queries pertaining to expenses.Prepare and submit daily, weekly and month-end reports as required by Site and Head Office.Prepare purchasing and arrange supplier payments.Assist in budget preparation.Receive and issue consumable stock on Accpac.Ad hoc request and duties from management.Assist during annual audits, both internal & external audits.Manage Stores Officer, mine Driver, and their activities.Ensure compliance to the Company’s procurement policy and processes.Assist the Workshop with stock counting.Manage mine houses, ensure that mine houses are maintained and that necessary payments are made timeously to the Municipality. ie. rates.Manage vehicle licensing process.Participate in weekly maintenance planning meetings. Experience: 3 – 5 years’ experienceExperience with ACCPAC & MS OfficePrevious experience in the mining industry Education & certificates: Bachelor’s degree in accountingUnendorsed driver’s license – travel required
