Overview Maintenance ManagerA leading marine engineering company situated in Durban is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their team.The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for: Plan and manage all maintenance projects/activitiesCo-ordinate and supervise labour on maintenance projectsCo-ordinate and supervise yard and admin office maintenance and labourBuild maintenance requirements to formulate maintenance budgetsManage maintenance spends within agreed budgets annuallyDevelop, implement, and manage dock maintenance schedulesDevelop, implement, and maintain proper stores control proceduresDocument and prepare daily progress reports re all maintenance activitiesConduct regular yard inspections to detect and resolve problemsEnsure legal compliance of total fleetAccident investigation, reporting and insurance claimsSupervise yard security Key requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalentMinimum 10+ years’ experience with a strong technical maintenance backgroundMust be in possession of a valid, unendorsed driver’s licenceStrong administrative skills with meticulous attention to detailExcellent verbal & written communication skillsComputer skills : MS Office incl ExcelHigh level of quality and detail orientation
