Overview Financial ManagerOne of the leading banks is looking for a Financial Manager to join their team in JohannesburgFor this role, you would be a newly qualified CA (SA) who is ready to kick-start their career within banking. You would have ideally had exposure to the Financial Services markets and possess strong IFRS17 skills.Key requirements: Establish, align, and manage target and budget goalsEnsure effective control of costs to increase cost efficiencyEstablish and manage a high level of organisational co-operationDevelop a service culture by building rewarding relationships, proposing innovations, and allowing others to provide exceptional client serviceIntervention activities in line with applicable laws, policies and proceduresPrepare tax returnsProvide advice and solutions to business tax mattersAccurately record, adjust and reconcile financial transactions and eventsMaintain appropriate supporting documentation according to professional financial accounting and reporting standardsIdentify and recommend necessary improvements to accounting and reporting processesParticipate in special projects and ensure project delivery through providing effective finance advice and supportExecution of relevant internal controls to ensure the integrity of operations, financial and accounting practicesIdentify risk factors that could adversely affect the business and adhere to procedures that mitigate identified risks or exposure to risk, and disclose risk information to relevant to internal and external stakeholdersPrepare and report on business operations and financial conditionsPerform within agreed processes to deliver management information according to the reporting cycle Experience: 0 – 2 years’ post articles experienceIFRS17 knowledge Education & certificates: Newly qualified CA (SA)
