Job Description A solar distribution company is looking to hire a Solar Construction Project Manager!Role purpose: To coordination the completion of C&I solar projects on time within budget and within the scope.Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the progress of the project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of the project.Key Inputs:Project Initiation:Identify Stakeholders and define their level of influence on the Construction project.Allocate Projects to EPC based on scope, performance & workload.Coordinate joint site surveys (DPA ,EPC & Client).Customize the Construction Methodology PlanProject Planning:Prepare and arrange for a Project Kick-off meeting with relevant stakeholdersEvaluate Project Management Plans for solar plant constructionDefine Project Scope and Change Management PlanManage project schedule and project resourcesEngage client on logistics and storage of equipment and align with supply chainManage project quality plans for construction projects.Review the project communications plan for solar plant construction.Manage and monitor the Risk Management Plan for solar.Project Execution: Arrange and coordinate site establishmentAnalyse and make recommendations on Projects PerformanceEvaluate Quality Assurance processes (random & hold inspections)Project Monitoring and Control:Hold weekly review meeting with EPC and or ClientReview and populate progress reports to senior managementReview and populate risk report to Risk department and senior management.Project Closure:Arrange & coordinate for acceptance/handover session with stakeholdersInventory review & checksReview and populate lessons Learned ReportRapid Assessment and Recovery of Troubled Projects:Evaluate the implementation stabilization PlanManage and monitor Stabilization Plan for troubled projects to bring them back to within approved baseline, cost and quality standards.Structural Review:Review structural reports for C&I (Roofs, carport & ground mounts)Review scope and cost for structural enhancements on structuresOversees standard designs for access roads.Tendering:Develop Construction Methodology PlansCome up with manpower resource plan for the proposed projectConstruction Supervision: Review periodically Hold inspections and Acceptance tests on completed civil works constructed by contractorsAssess quality standards periodicallyReview periodically engineering/Technical standards periodicallyEvaluate periodically statutory requirementsMonitoring and controlling the implementation costsAdhering and enforcing company Safety, Health and Environmental policy.Monitoring And Updating C&I Project TrackerReview and update online project trackerUpdate the pipe drive weeklyTechnical Standards ReviewResearch, review and update technical standards relating to and in line with changing global standardsMaintenance Works (Defect liability Period)Coordinate teams to attend to call-outsManagement Of The SectionIdentifies possible subordinate first level vacancies and where applicable, suitable candidates internally or externally , and arranges for the appointment of suitable staffCompiles and submits sectional weekly and monthly reportsDecision-Making Authority/Mandates/Constraints: Decides on actions to be taken in uncertain project environments in order to accomplish organizational goals.Decides on appropriate levels of project control depending on project complexity and risk to the organization.Decides on the need, content, and timing of escalation of adverse project issues.Decides on changes to project scope, schedule, costs, and quality constraints
