JOB DESCRIPTION: Job and Company description:My client manages waste from point of generation to destination, efficiently servicing the oil and gas, mining, , chemical, , industrial, logistics and paper and packaging sectors across Southern Africa. They assist their clients with transitioning to the circular economy way of thinking – opening opportunities to deliver on economic growth, job opportunities and environmental practices that enable sustainable growth. The circular economy removes unnecessary waste materials, energy losses and related carbon emissions across supply chains, and allows materials, energy, and resources to be fed back into the cycle. As the Divisional Financial Controller you will be responsible for: Analysis of the financial results of the regionAnalysis and explanation of management accounts to budgets and forecastsFinalising inter-depot chargesDevelopment and measurement of regional production KPI’sPresentation of financial results to managementControlling all orders against budgetPreparation of annual budget and bi-annual forecastEnsuring compliance to internal controls at depot levelManage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue RecognitionCoordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variancesPrepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Variance analysisCoordinate the preparation of regulatory reportingResearch technical accounting issues for complianceSupport month-end and year-end close processEnsure quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingManage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsAdditional controller duties as necessary Job Experience and Skills Required: Completed B.Com degree or CIMAFinancial Analysis experience3 – 4 years’ experience in a similar role
