TRAINING OPPORTUNITY: Title: Fitter ApprenticeshipDepartment: MaintenanceDuration: ApprenticeshipLocation: Hammarsdale, Outer West DurbanTasks will include, but are not limited to:The successful candidate will work under supervision and will be expected to perform thefollowing duties throughout the Apprentice period:Good understanding of factory utility layouts (electrical and water reticulation,compressed air systems, and process water plant)Knowledge of condition monitoring (electrical and water reticulation, compressed airsystems and process water plant)Knowledge of OSHACTKnowledge of shut down maintenanceWorking knowledge of roboticsBearings and lubricationWelding, cutting and grinding experiencePneumatics, pumps, transmission systems and general mechanics Duties :Identify, verify and analyse reasons for downtime through root cause analysis andimplementation of corrective actions to repair the fault in order to ensure timeousresumption of productionInspections on running machinery and equipmentAdherence to the maintenance scheduleAdherence to all safety rules and regulations by all personnel and contractors on site toensure a safe working environmentThe training opportunity will include the following:All trade related trainingOn the job trainingPractical training and theoretical trainingMinimum RequirementsMatric certificateN2 or N3 Mechanical Engineering
