Job Description A private hospital is currently looking for a Midwife in the Stellenbosch region. Requirements:•ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: 3 or 4-year Diploma or 4 year Degree in Nursing; Postgraduate qualification in the unit’s specialist area (if relevant)•DESIRED EDUCATION: Nursing education qualification; Nursing management qualification•ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years professional nursing experience in a hospital; 2-3 years leadership experience in a hospital•DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Infection Prevention and Control; Clinical FacilitationREQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE•Auditing and accreditation processes•Clinical risk management•Computer literate (Microsoft Office)•Continuous improvement and quality assurance methodologies•Financial management•Healthcare industry•Human resource processes including employee relations•Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols•Management of staff productivity•Nursing functional knowledge•Patient complaint management•Relevant nursing legislation
